Friendship Disability Ministry Group
The Friendship Disability Ministry is a Focus group on raising awareness of disability issues, helping the congregation to understand disabilities and therefore create an accepting, warm, and welcoming atmosphere for persons with disabilities, making Trinity's facility and programs accessible to persons with disabilities, launching and supporting disability events and programs such as Super Saturdays. Healing Touch
Healing Touch is a cancer support group (open to the public) and is designed for patients, friends and survivors of any form of cancer. They meet the 3rd Thursday of the month from 5:30 - 7pm in the O. Dean Martin Prayer room (in the Atrium). Monthly speaker, some studies include scripture and prayer. Lifeline Singles
Lifeline Singles (LLS) is an outreach of Trinity to help singles of all ages find new, single friends in a comfortable, supportive setting. MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers)
MOPS is about meeting the needs of every mom of a child from conception through kindergarten. Fall Registration is open now. MS Circle of Friends F.R.O.G.S Group
FROGS = Friendship Reinforcement Opportunity Growth Support. This is a support group for family, friends and persons who have, or are affected by, Multiple Sclerosis. Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministers provide confidential one-to-one listening, encouragement, emotional, and spiritual support to individuals who are experiencing a difficult time in their lives. If you are hurting, discouraged, grieving, or struggling and want a Christian listener to talk to, contact our Referral Coordinators, Kay (352.336.2006, This email address is being protected from spambots. You and your Stephen Minster will set a day, time, and meeting place that agrees with your schedules, usually weekly for about one hour. You may also refer someone to us whom you know is facing a difficult challenge. Stephen Ministers are lay volunteers who participate in 50+ hours of training. They seek to support our community and pastors, following the example of Stephen who was "ordained" by the 12 disciples to serve others, freeing the disciples to give "attention to prayer and ministry of the Word" (Acts 6:4 NIV). Our ministry here at TUMC is part of a world-wide ministry that seeks to help those who need a Christian listener. Widows and Widowers
This small group invites men & women who have lost their partner to meet once a month. Enjoy dinner together while also building communication and relationships with others in a similar life situation.
