Tara Bishop

Director of Stepping Stones

Tara comes to Trinity with more than 20 years of teaching experience in a variety of settings: as a teacher at a school for children with autism, as an elementary art teacher, as a preschool teacher, as a second-grade teacher, and, for the past 8 years, as a kindergarten teacher at Littlewood Elementary. Twice Tara has received the Teacher of the Year award, in 2015 at Fruitland Park Elementary School in Fruitland Park, FL and in 2017, for her first year teaching in Gainesville at Littlewood.

Tara is a graduate of the University of North Florida in Jacksonville and holds a K-12 Reading Endorsement and an ESOL, K-12 Certification. She has served as the Chairperson of the Community United Methodist Church Preschool Board and was a presenter at the Florida Association of Behavior Analysis. Tara is a person of deep faith and has been a part of the United Methodist Church all her adult life. She is married to Brandon who serves as the Worship and Operations Director at Gator Wesley and is also the Worship Band Leader for Trinity. They have two teenage girls, Ayla and Harper, and three dogs round out the family.
