Rev. Steve Price

Lead Pastor

Hi! My name is Steve and I’m so grateful to serve as Lead Pastor with Trinity. I’m married to Catherine and for 27 years we served together as co-pastors, launching a new church in SW Florida where we stayed for 19 years, then 8 more here at Trinity before she was appointed as the Superintendent of our Northwest District. I love all my kids, the two we raised (Shelby and Sid) and the two they married (Mike and Menandie), and find great joy in being Pops to my granddaughter, Maren. I’m both a sports guy (usually prefer to be playing over watching) and a music guy (singing, playing piano, and listening to an eclectic playlist of tunes). I also enjoy time in the kitchen, and every good day includes a little playtime with Teddy, our goldendoodle.

For me, ministry is all about connecting people to the God who loves them more than they can imagine. When we experience that love, we begin to grow into the very best versions of ourselves.

Life Verse?

Philippians 4:8 – “From now on, brothers and sisters, if anything is excellent and if anything is admirable, focus your thoughts on these things; all that is true, all that is holy, all that is just, all that is pure, all that is lovely, and all that is worthy of praise.”

How about the official stuff?

I’m a graduate of Duke University (M.Div.), Florida State University (M.A. in English Education), and Furman University (B.A. in Accounting). I was ordained as an Elder in Full Connection in the United Methodist Church in 2000. I currently serve as the chair of the Theology team on the Board of Ordained Ministry for the Florida Conference of the UMC.
