Cost of Poverty Experience (COPE)

The Cost of Poverty will be Saturday, April 27, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at Faith Mission

Free to attend, registration is required.

Every day significant challenges are faced by low-income families. Can people who haven’t faced such challenges develop a greater understanding that helps lead to positive change? Yes, we can learn to serve one another with dignity and effectiveness. It might, however, take a willingness to step into another person’s shoes.

The Cost of Poverty Experience is a simulation that offers a glimpse into obstacles faced and decisions that have to be made by families every day in and around Gainesville.

Faith Mission is proud to offer the Cost of Poverty Experience for the 7th year. Join us for this very impactful workshop on Saturday, April 27, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, at Faith Mission (3701 NE 15th St). There is no cost to attend. Limited to the first 40 participants who register.

Riches of Faith

"Riches of Faith" is a community learning endeavor to equip churches for deeper engagement with poverty within their own communities. Participants from local churches across the South receive online coaching to lead a 6 week Bible study with additional practical learning opportunities. Through this communal effort we will prepare churches to engage in meaningful local missions and build hope within our churches. There is no cost to participate as we grow together.
